Curacao Shipregistry

The Curaçao registry as part of the Dutch Kingdom, combines the reliability and prestige of a European flag with operational flexibility. Known for its high safety standards and adherence to international maritime regulations, Curaçao offers:

  • Curaçao law provides both for “bareboat-in” as well as “bareboat-out”, from/to any country which allows parallel registration.
  • Vessels owned by companies which are established in Curaçao and 74 different countries including the EU-member states, the United States of America, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein, are allowed to register in Curaçao;
  • Vessels registered in Curaçao can be accepted by the European Commission to sail and transfer goods to EU member states;
  • Curacao is a full member of the ICCAT convention and we are aiming to become cooperating non- member of the WCPFC and Cooperating Non-Contracting Party to the IOTC by the end 2017 with the goal to become full member of both conventions;
  • NO restrictions on the nationality of crew members but for their national endorsement
